We connected the essentials (refrigerator & AC at the height of the heat,) cooked on the propane grill and solar oven, and went about our business in a low energy way. I'm not gonna lie, I prefer it. We also harvested the rest of our oats and took the opportunity to get them set out to dry in the sun while we had it. We planted about 2oz of oat seed and got back about 15 pounds. Not a bad return for having never grown them before and doing nothing special to get that crop.
